Four mobile games of cognitive training for third-year users to be used as part of a study by Ichilov Hospital.

THE CHALLENGE
There was no need to invent from scratch, but to take existing thinking games and make adjustments for people in the third age.


MAJOR ADJUSTMENTS


  1. 1 Each game has its own detailed tutorial.
  2. 2 The duration of the game and the difficulty level were determined according to the results of usability tests.
  3. 3 The feedback contains images of the users' grandchildren to increase motivation and engagement.

THE GAMES

MEMORY GAME

Working memory

The user must succeed in remembering the exact position of the squares presented on the matrix.

BALL CATCH

Inhibition

The user must pass the ball through the checkpoint, without hitting the checkpoint itself.

STROOP EFFECT

Inhibition and divided attention

In this game user is required to state the color of the word, ignoring the actual text.

RUSH HOUR

Planning and problem solving

The user must release the orange brick in the smallest number of steps.
